Daddies are Wonderful People

image This is my daddy and me after we (my mama, Monica and I) finished decorating for day 2 of my 30th Birthday Celebration. Check out my 30 shirt! LOL

It seems as though it has been a while since I posted. This one is short and hopefully sweet.

Daddies and daughters hold a special place in each others hearts. Anyone who knows me, knows I’m a daddy’s girl!  I LOVE my daddy.  He guides me, provides me with spiritual guidance, relationship advice, financial advice and assistance (:-) I’m going to be better with that at 30) and an ever – ready shoulder to lean on.  My daddy is wonderful.
“The steps of a good man are ordered by The Lord: and he delighteth in his way.
– Psalm 37:23

“If anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.”
– 1 Timothy 5:8  (NIV)
The NKJV says that a man who does not provide for his family is “worse than an infidel.”  That is a very strong sounding word, as it should be.  When you have a father who trusts and believes in God, it is evident. My father knows God.  He trusts in him and adheres to Christ’s teachings, one of which is to provide for his family. As a result of my father following Christ, my mother can follow his leadership easily and without any doubts that everything will be taken care of.  That deep trust and respect has trickled down to me.  And as a result of the type of man (husband and father) my daddy is, I am earnestly praying for a man like him.

We distributed the Helen Steiner Rice Poem – Fathers Are Wonderful People (photograph above) to the fathers during worship service this morning.
What makes your daddy wonderful?
I hope you had a great day with the fathers and father figures in your life!
Peace and blessings!
P.S. A picture of my birthday cake is below.  I will post more birthday party pictures below.
